My primary road race duty was in the feed zone, supporting son Nathan and his Kelly Benefit Strategies team mates, Ryan Bloom and Curtis Winsor. Light was cold, grey; occasional rain, some sun, about 45-50 degrees F. Shot at ISO 800, mostly 1/1250 sec about F 8 or wider. Candids at about 1/500. Shot about 100 pictures, posted 40-50 here . Typical first shoot of the season, grade B or B- ... things will fall into place over next several events -- Trade Zone training races leading up to Jeff Cup, one of my favorites, then Tysons and onward.

Wolfpack (NC) 02.13.09
Ambled down to Raleigh, NC, Friday, February 13 for Wolfpack Cycling Classic -- USCF and collegiate races. Long drive; it took about 4 hours just to get to Richmond (used to be a 90 minute drive when I worked in General Assembly). Nathan drove that nasty, stop-n-go leg. Then I picked up the easy nighttime cruise through to Raleigh. Overnight in Holiday Inn Express/Brownstone, near NC State campus. Worked fine. Saturday morning, drove about 45 minutes south to Sanford, NC, venue for day of road races. (Criteriums were Sunday, at the NC State Centennial campus ... I headed back early and missed the crits.)
